With the help of Mr. Toucans, the transport company AVAS has launched a new website based on the latest in security, functionality and design.

Goals & challenges
At the beginning of 2020, AVAS had to acknowledge that the old website had become obsolete: simple updates were difficult, crashes were frequent, and it was challenging to implement newer security measures, primarily cookies, GDPR, and SSL.
That is why Avas wanted a website that is both modern and reflects the industry that AVAS has been part of for over 90 years, under the motto: ”We keep our promises”.

Task description
Sonny Bejlegaard Nielsen, project manager at AVAS, was put in charge of a new website, and he explains:
”First and foremost, we were looking for a web agency that could deliver a functional and secure website. Of course, the design and layout also had to support the business that AVAS is. It quickly became clear that Mr. Toucans’ expertise in well-functioning and secure websites was a really good match for us.”
Based on the initial dialogue, Mr. Toucans created the first draft of the website, after which Sonny began adding content. Corona and other challenges made it a little difficult to stay within the framework of the original delivery plan, but with flexibility and dialogue, we managed to reach our goal in a reasonable amount of time.
”We had a bit of a challenge in terms of delivering text, but Mr. Toucans was very responsive and adjusted the layout so that you didn't notice anything was missing,” says Sonny, adding that AVAS spent exactly the amount of resources on the process that it had anticipated.
Result
AVAS now has a website where carefully selected video clips quickly give visitors an understanding of the many different types of tasks that AVAS performs, and where the company's key figures are continuously updated. All in all, it is a more dynamic website, which Sonny's colleagues are pleased with. Sonny is also happy that the website is much easier to update.
Sonny and his colleagues at AVAS are not website specialists, but naturally had many questions and suggestions during the process. The questions led to a productive dialogue, and Sonny feels that they received qualified and often data-based answers from Mr. Toucans.
