Poly-Cap
After Poly-Cap got a new SEO-optimised website, a whole new customer segment opened up for the company.
”I can definitely feel a difference. We have a number of customers who have been with us from the start and who know our products. But now we are also being contacted by engineers and other customers who have been searching for aluminium covers, and that's where we come in.” Adam Munch, Chief Executive Officer.
Goals & challenges
For a number of years, Poly-Cap had a homemade website that did not function as intended. The website was often down, which in practice meant that it was difficult for customers to find Poly-Cap online.
”We needed a spokesperson for our company. We had tried to do something ourselves, but it didn't work out well.”
Poly-Cap therefore wanted a new, stable and more professional website, and when they were contacted by Mr. Toucans, they jumped at the chance:
”We weren't specifically looking for anything, but Mr. Toucan's approach was different. They had it all figured out.”
One of the purposes of the new website was to raise awareness of Poly-Cap and its products. As Poly-Cap manufactures technical insulation for pipes and heating systems, the company has good, long-standing partnerships with plumbers, but wanted to expand its customer base.
Task description
To make Poly-Cap more visible online, SEO-optimised texts were needed to make the company more visible in Google searches. Therefore, a completely new website structure had to be created with subpages describing Poly-Cap's products with both images and words.
”When we were setting up the website, it was a bit overwhelming with all the text and images that needed to be used. But when the new website went live, it all made sense. Now I get compliments on our website, and some customers have even been a little jealous.”
Adam Munch is delighted that the new website has been designed in such a way that he can add new text and images himself in future, as he now knows how important it is to update the website regularly.
”Mr. Toucans produces regular reports, making it possible to monitor how the website is performing.”

Result
Poly-Cap's new website has had a positive – and surprising – effect. Whereas the company previously worked primarily with plumbers, it is now being contacted by engineers, including those from larger companies, who want to start new collaborations with Poly-Cap.
”I can clearly tell if someone has visited our website. Some of them have filled out our contact form, but I can also tell by the way they ask questions that they have searched for technical insulation and found us.”
Although Poly-Cap's new website is now live, the excellent collaboration with Mr. Toucans continues. The site is regularly maintained and updated.
”We have been very pleased with their service. They have been good at following up. Bo has been out helping, is very available, and goes the extra mile. They always answer the phone and are always available. You don't feel left behind.”

About Poly-Cap insulation
Poly-Cap has been manufacturing technical insulation for ventilation, heating pipes, cooling pipes and heating centres since 1981. The insulation protects exposed pipes from wind and weather and extends their service life by up to 30 years.
Poly-Cap has its own workshop and therefore manufactures leapers for its own pipes, but also acts as a subcontractor for other companies.
”I like the fact that Mr. Toucans isn't such a big company. That way, you're taken more seriously. In large companies, you're just a piece in their puzzle. Here, you can feel that they're constantly following up. There hasn't been anything negative about the collaboration – it just works.” – Adam Munch, Chief Executive Officer, Poly-Cap
