References are gold

Do you know someone who has gone to a restaurant or bought a special wine because it was recommended to them? If not, we can tell you that references are one of the most visited subpages on a website.

Our customers often say: ”We have a hard time getting good references” and this is probably true if you just wait for the references to come through the door. Very few customers go to the trouble of contacting a supplier to express their enthusiasm or satisfaction. But many customers will actually express their experience with a supplier if you seek it out yourself.

People want references when buying a product or service. You've probably experienced it yourself when choosing a restaurant or a film to watch in the cinema, buying a new lawnmower or sofa - or finding a good hairdresser. We like to hear references from others before we decide.

That's why it's so important to get good customer testimonials on your website - and we can help you with that. Most customers who have had a good experience also want to share their positive experiences, but they rarely contact the company themselves to tell you about it. On the other hand, they're usually more than happy to share it if you approach them yourself. We take care of everything, from contact and acknowledgement to interview and execution on the website. We have the expertise to get the job done professionally and smoothly - so you don't have to worry about it.

Why are references important?

When new customers visit a website for the first time, it's important that the website is trustworthy. Since you can't see or hear a salesperson, we need to create credibility through reading and experience, which references can really help with.

References that are contemporary, industry-orientated and elaborate with quotes and images have a huge positive impact on the credibility of the new visitor and help make the company behind the website a potential supplier.

What is a good reference?

References can be called many things such as testimonials, cases, projects etc. The most important thing is that they appear in the main menu and contain a description of a specific problem with a solution and testimonials from the customer. We have good experience with interviews where our customers are asked a series of questions that we can then build a reference from.

How to choose the right reference?

Many people think that Novo, Lego, Danfoss, COOP etc. are the best references, but this is not necessarily the case. Firstly, large multinational companies are difficult to get to talk to, partly due to internal politics and partly because these customers do not necessarily represent your target group. If your target audience is manufacturing companies with 10-50 employees, it might be better to find references among these companies. Remember to include a punchline such as ”Would you recommend us to others?”.
