Goals & challenges

In 2020, Cryptera decided to translate their knowledge into products and services targeting a new area: security in industrial IoT. In short, this involves ensuring the security of units and devices that are outside the company's own walls.

A new website was therefore needed to communicate Cryptera's technical knowledge and products in an understandable and inviting way, explains Stig Gudmundsen, Director of Sales and Marketing at Cryptera.

Since Mr. Toucans had done a thorough job of analysing the existing website, it was agreed that Mr. Toucans would deliver a complete website with all functions and industry-specific design to Cryptera. Stig Gudmundsen also emphasised that Mr. Toucans has delivered many websites for companies that sell complex technical solutions to B2B customers.

”Cryptera is a nerdy company. That's what we do for a living, and it's important to have a partner who understands the importance of communicating our complex technical expertise in an appealing way.”

Task description

When Cryptera decided to expand its products and services, one important thing was missing, explains Stig Gudmundsen.

”From one day to the next, the number of potential customers grew almost exponentially. Before we could start marketing Cryptera to the industry, we needed a cutting-edge website to present our new products in a way that balanced well with our products for the payment industry, which help to underpin our credibility and continue to generate revenue.”

At the same time, Stig and his colleagues were aware that the old website had a number of shortcomings, both visually and technically, so the decision was made to start from scratch with a new website and a new supplier.

The website went live and has been the cornerstone of Cryptera's marketing efforts towards new segments in the industry from the very beginning.

”We are now in full swing with developing the new markets. With the new website, which accurately conveys our unique competencies and services, we have the perfect foundation for creating a new network, via traditional lead generation and via LinkedIn, which we will also be working with much more systematically in the future.”, says Stig.

Stig goes on to say that Cryptera sees the collaboration on the website as the start of a partnership with Mr. Toucans on ongoing measurement and optimisation of the website, but also other Mr. Toucans services, such as photos and illustrations, as well as sparring regarding the use of news on the website.
