The desire for greater user-friendliness led Resino to collaborate with Mr. Toucans on a new website. At the same time, several systems were integrated to avoid manual errors and save time.

Goal & challenge

Resino's previous website was built on a platform that required the company to contact its web agency whenever something needed to be changed or added to the website. This was both expensive and time-consuming. That's why Resino wanted a website they could edit and manage themselves.

"Our system was very locked down before. We needed to be able to upload images in all sizes and build the pages the way we wanted. It took a long time every time we needed to make a change because we always had to contact the agency first and wait for them to have time," says Niels Nielsen.

Task description

Mr. Toucans built Resino's new website in WordPress, which is intuitive and easy for employees to work in. As a result, they can now update the website themselves with images and other relevant material.

In addition to the website, Resino wanted a new system that could integrate the website's various functions and minimize manual errors.

Mr. Toucans has therefore built a new ordering portal for Resino's customers around the world. The ordering portal is integrated with the company's PIM system (product information system) and financial system.

"We needed to be able to create technical data sheets without manual errors. Now they are generated directly by our system. This saves us time and money and gives us security. Previously, we typed in all specifications directly. We created a PDF file for each product in each language. If we changed a specification on a product, it might not be updated in the PDF or in English or German. Now there is always consistency. We're really happy about that."

Results

Resino now has a website that matches their needs. When a company makes a living from visual and creative products, it's problematic if the website is too static, says Niels Nielsen and adds:

"The great thing is that we have gained creative freedom. We can unfold in the way we want to. Before, we were in a straitjacket of what could be done. Everything had to be coded. Now we don't have to."

The integration with the other systems also works flawlessly. This means that Resino now only has to manage all product data, such as prices, texts and data sheets, in one place.

"I can definitely recommend Mr. Toucans. We have generally had good sparring with the team, also on how to improve the content on our website, how to optimize SEO and many other things. We look forward to an annual meeting where we get ideas on what we can do."
